Why worry when we can pray?
I get on my knees. Pray help to keep us closer to God.

Thought For The Day

Lord Teach Us to Pray - Luke 11:1

Reflection For The Day

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14); but He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. (Proverbs 28:9). When we pray, we are to give glory, honour and praise to God for his goodness, grace and mercy toward us. Our prayer must come from our heart!

We must not only pray when we are in trouble and need God; we should pray regularly (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Our requests, praises and thanks to God must be made through Jesus (John14:13). Our prayers can be hindered by the way we treat others(1Peter 3:7). We must forgive others if we want God to answer our prayers. Mark 11:25-26 states clearly "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.-(John 9:31). Also, we should never pray to impress others, because God is not impressed by such a prayer (Matthew 6:5, 7). We must have faith in God and if we are faithful and obedient to Him then He will hear and answer our prayers; otherwise we will receive nothing. Jesus says in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

Song For The Day

Sweet Hour of Prayer

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! That calls me from a world of care, and bids me at my Father’s throne. Make all my wants and wishes known. In seasons of distress and grief, My soul has often found relief, and oft escaped the tempter’s snare, by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
